Fine Art Maternity Photography

“Phil has an eye for detail and captures your pregnancy in the most beautiful, feminine way. I know I’ll be looking back on these images with smiles for years to come.” – Sabrina

The Shoot Experience

Celebrate your beautiful baby bump with a photographic work of art to treasure for a lifetime.

Booking and Consultation

Shoots can be done in studio or on location, depending on the desired style, with most shoots taking between 90 and 120 minutes. This usually gives enough time for 2-3 changes of theme / lighting / outfits etc.

Studio sessions can take place at any time of day, with most location shoots taking advantage of evening light.

Most mums-to-be will look to schedule their shoot between 24-32 weeks, depending on how much they’re showing. A little later can be ok, basically we want that nice pregnant belly shape, but you don’t want it to be a struggle.

“I’m so impressed with how the photos turned out!”

Guidance every step

Once your booking is locked in you’ll receive a ‘guidance package’ that explains your shoot experience in detail, everything from outfit selection to where to park on the day.

If you like we can also arrange a pre-shoot consultation so that you can meet me (either in person or on a video call) and ask any questions.

In addition to your own selected outfits I also have a range of robes, bodycon dresses, bodysuits, gowns, coloured fabrics, and other items designed to accommodate and flatter a pregnant tummy.

“Not only did Phil guide me throughout the entire process, he also made me feel extremely comfortable.”

Your shoot - Your vision

You can be as active in the creative process as your choose. Together we’ll work up a mood-board and set out your vision for the shoot.

On the day I’ll guide you through styling, posing, and positioning to make sure you end up with images you’ll love.

No matter what Maternity Art means to you, together we’ll create something that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

“It was a bit daunting at first, however I became more and more comfortable and confident in my new body throughout the duration of the shoot, and I’m so impressed with how the photos turned out!”

Common questions

Check out my ‘Packages’ page here. Packages include a minimum agreed number of your selected finished images from the shoot. Images are all delivered digitally and they’re yours to print and share however you want. Albums and physical prints can also be arranged at an additional cost if you want them, but there’s no pressure sell.

Sure. Couples maternity photos can be great to keep and to share. Shots with your existing children can also be a great way to include them in your pregnancy journey.

If looking for a fine art shoot as well, most mum’s to be find it’s better to get the children & partner shots done first and then your partner can take any children out whilst you relax into the second part of the shoot (and secure in the knowledge that nobody is pulling on cables for expensive photography equipment or more importantly distracting you during the shoot).

That’s totally understandable, in fact one of the things I hear quite often is “I like the idea, but can I see how I feel on the day?“. Of course you can! What I can say though is that these images tend to be the ones that mums-to-be end up loving the most, beautiful, powerful, and confident. True works of maternity art that you will cherish. The other thing that might help calm your nerves is knowing that many of these beautiful images are actually shot with something on, with underwear or covering retouched out of the final selected images.
